NEW DUTCH RULES FOR TALENTED MIGRANTS

The Netherlands do have a new policy for immigration that will be based upon national interests first. For much new immigrants now there is only one helpdesk.

There will be a new ranking system to allow high level knowledgeable and skilled labour migrants.
Temporary immigration for e.g. seasen labourers, expats and au pairs, will be easier but maximized to one year. In stead of present 29 allowances there will be five new categories for immigration. Aim is to combine existing allowance policy with greater selectivity. The new policy will see to it that admittants do meet with necessity restrictions due to existing needs in the Dutch (working) society.

So interesting knowledgeble scientists, innovative entrepeneurs and other migrants that can positivily contribute to the Dutch economy are welcomed by a new Dutch IND migration policy. One of the new demands is your new jobs salary needs to be over € 45.000 a year.

1st cat. Concerns immigrants who will work temporarely in the Netherlands, or are temporarely exchanged; they are allowed up to one year on a non-extensable permit, no right to family reunion, nor financial social support. There is no obligation to fulfill a cityzenship test.

2nd cat. Concerns an allowance for students or employees during their study or working period. This temporary permit can be exchanged for a permanent residence permit.

3rd cat. Concerns high level knowledgeable and skilled labour immigrants who will meet with a ranking system. Their allowance will be based upon their talents. See above.
Kowledgeable immigrants will recieve a five year maximum permit; talented migrants maximal two years. And it will need a shortened procedure to get an allowance. After these periods a permit for time undefined and family reunion is possible.

4th cat. Immigration rules for family reunion and marriage are not changed. A cityzenship test will be necessary. The demand that the one who asks the immigrant to come over for family reunion must financial be able to support themselves is made more flexible.

5th cat. This category concerns immigrants for humanitarian reasons, such as victims of human trade ore humans who need medical care.
